Job Description:
Candidates MUST be local to MN and MUST have healthcare experience!
The ideal Senior BA candidate has at least 5 years of business analyst, business systems analyst, and/or business architect experience. In this role, you will be a leader in defining scope, high level process flows and business context for several projects of various sizes. You will be asked to define user stories and elicit high level and detailed requirements from business stakeholders. As a lead, you will also be asked to provide direction and oversight to other BA’s, acting as mentor with some supervisory responsibilities. Some professional exposure to healthcare is required with experience in the healthcare payer space preferred.

Must show strong initiative and be able to work independently and be self-directed at times
Must engage and lead stakeholders and other contributors in functional and non-functional requirements elicitation and be able to distinguish between what someone says they need and what might be the actual need.
Demonstrate leadership and coaching skills and ability to direct the work of others in addition to work as an individual contributor
Experience with member/customer enrollment, eligibility and/or billing support is preferred
Experience working on an agile scrum team and knowledgeable with DevOps
Willing to extend beyond your specific job role to assist the team in system analysis, quality analysis and issue diagnosis as necessary.

The Senior Business analyst works with business partners and end user groups throughout the organization to understand and document customer requirements and assist with project implementations. These requirements are documented in a way that is understandable to the business with the necessary level of detail and clarity for IT. The Sr. Business Analyst provides analytical guidance to the project team throughout the project lifecycle. Data analysis, understanding of technology and assisting with the translation of business requirements into system requirements are important to this role.
The Sr. Business Analyst, will use their comprehensive knowledge of the health care industry, business processes, data repositories and IT systems to resolve issues, automate and improve business processes and assist with the implementation of IT solutions.
Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge and skill of professional field with ability to function as a subject matter expert for other staff.
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience in related field, plus 5 years of work experience beyond degree.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to conduct focused interviews, identify business process improvement opportunities, document and prioritize requirements, manage scope, focus on business value and provide supporting visual documentation
Industry knowledge of tools, techniques, industry best-practices for performing data analysis, business process flows and supporting documentation
Communication (written/verbal) and organizational skills that support an advanced ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management and to gain cross functional support.
