Title: Solaris System Administrator

Job Description:
The Systems Admin will support and manage all aspects of planning, configuring, deploying, supporting, and decommissioning Solaris systems. Admin will assist with integration with other Enterprise software utilized by the organization. Admin will assist with Quality Assurance for the section in the delivery of systems and applications, provide Problem Resolution assistance. The Systems Admin includes support for the distributed hosting section in providing statewide services located at datacenters and remote sites in an Enterprise scale environment with high growth rates and statewide responsibilities. The Systems Admin will assist in designing and architecting infrastructure solutions and providing incident response with high customer satisfaction. This is a 24x7x365 shop and there is an on-call rotation with potential for after-hours support needs.
Solaris
Solid foundation with Solaris 11 (11.3-11.4)/10, experience in migration of Solaris 10 to 11. Familiarity with ServiceNow IT Service Management Application, ZFS and Apache Support. Configuration management using Puppet v3 or v5. Exposure to support SAP environment on Solaris, Engineered Systems (SuperClusters / T5 / M8), M4000/M5000, T-Series, S7, ZFS Storage Appliances, Exadata Cell Servers
Skills Required / Desired Amount of Experience
Solid experience with Solaris 11 (11.3-11.4)/10 Required 3 Years
experience in migration of Solaris 10 to 11 Required 3 Years
Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management Application, ZFS and Apache Support Highly desired 3 Years
Configuration management using Puppet v3 or v5 Required 3 Years
