Role: Senior SQL Server DBA
Location: Franklin, TN (Just south of down ton Nashville)
Length: long term
Overview of the role:
· The client is hiring a Senior Database Administrator. In this role you will support multiple environments from production to team QA platforms.
· You will work with the other DBAs to ensure the databases are available 24x7 for payment processing.
· You will require effective communication skills to interact with different areas of the organization to assist with the design and development of solutions.
· Your experience with backups and database maintenance, performance tuning, query and data storage optimization will serve you well supporting our environments using SQL Server Enterprise Edition utilizing AlwaysOn and transactional replication.
· If you have experience with SQL Azure and migration to the cloud and experience or the desire to work with Oracle 12 or 18 and container databases is a definite plus.
Skills Required:
· Database Administration and Development using any of the following versions of SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017
· Monitoring automation, backups, restores, and performance tuning
· Query and data storage optimization including proper use of indexing, cache, and statistics
· Database tuning and SQL Server profiler
· Creation and optimization of Stored procedures, functions and common table expressions, views, etc.
· Database replication, log shipping, SQL AlwaysOn and data retention plans
· SQL Server Clustering
· File generation from SQL
· File load processes into SQL
Additional Experience preferred but not required:
· Oracle 12 or 18 multitenant and container databases administration
· SQL table partitioning
· Design and support of ETL process
· Design or support of SSIS, SSRS, .net sql clr solutions
· Disaster Recovery
· Supporting a 24x7 environment
· Experience with data sets (500+ GB)
· Application release support
· Linux experience
· SAN experience is a plus
· Experience in payment processing is a plus
· Experience with Database Performance Analyzer (Ignite) is a plus
· TFS and sharepoint experience a plus
· Microsoft Azure and cloud experience is a plus
· Powershell is a plus
· Development experience is a plus
