Our client has a large data migration which involves retiring a legacy data warehouse system and migrating to a new one, Informatica. The Sr. DBA role will assist the PM, and Sr. Business Analyst on the project with data migration as well as ad hoc DBA tasks.
Deep Database Administration with SQL Server Data Warehousing experience
Deep knowledge of Database Operating Systems - Windows and Linux required.
Knowledge of Data Warehouse development on SQL Server.
Experience with SQL Server 2008 – 2016 both on premise (required) and hosted in Azure (this is desirable and not required)
Proficient with SQL DML & DDL and T-SQL required.
Proven ability to troubleshoot database issues from code to hardware required – including multi-stack performance tuning
Experience with database administration concepts including backup and recovery, HA/DR, replication security and performance tuning required.
Experience with related tools such as SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, OEM, ASM and others required.
Knowledge of hardware, storage, RAID, and disk subsystems technologies as they pertain to DBMS systems preferred.
Knowledge of scripting languages including Powershell, Perl and Bash shell scripting preferred.
Familiar with Microsoft Enterprise technologies including Visual Studio, TFS, Systems Center preferred.
