Job Description :
Salesforce Developer and Architect

New York, NY

Long Term Contract

Job Description:

SalesForce Architect / Developer

This will be someone who understands the data architecture is standard Salesforce and can also quickly pick up the customizations that they have done.
Also will be involved with the data architecture of the integrations with third party systems as well as the internal client side systems.

SalesForce Developer

Similar to the architect role, but focussed on development. Functional customizations and extensions of the existing platform.
Overall work environment.
Candidates must be able to deal with a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
Projects get started with 60% of the requirements done, and frequently change as the implementations progress.
They must be able to handle that level of change.
Also it is kind of expected that people on the team offer alternate solutions, so creativity is a big plus.
Sometime we think strategically, but sometime we have to be tactical.
The candidates must be proactive, team players, can-do people who are willing to pitch in and get things done.
Overtime is expected when software release or reporting deadlines are upcoming.
One of the issues with the current SalesForce developer is that he does not communicate frequently with the project and program managers. He gives status when asked, but is not proactive about letting people know where he is with his tasks and when things are ready for test.
Look for someone who over-communicates.
If you can deal with the late breaking requirements and the pace of change, it is actually a pretty good work environment.
They appreciate the people who produce for them.
