POSITION – SQL software Developer
LOCATION - Agawam, MA
DURATION -6-12 Months Contract with possible extensions
Project overview:
This project will be responsible for the following: Documenting key calculations and attributes within the existing data warehouse. Migrating the existing data warehouse to a new data warehouse based in Azure This position requires a strong understand of data warehouse concepts including design and implementation practices including ETL processes; a strong understand of T-SQL and SSIS; and the ability to read and understand complex code.
Responsibilities
Develop software on the Company’s strategic initiatives Development of high quality database solutions
Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL/SSIS
Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements
Research required data Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables
Prepare documentations and specifications Work effectively in cross-functional/cross departmental teams
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience in designing, modifying, writing and implementing software programming applications.
Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server Strong understanding of T-SQL programming
Strong understanding of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Strong communication skills with the ability work effectively on teams and independently
Ability to work comfortably in a fast paced and agile development environment and be highly adaptive and flexible
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Proficient with all of the following technologies Windows Microsoft Visual Studio T-SQL (Transact SQL) SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) SQL Service Integration Services (SSIS) Experience with the following tools a plus MS Team Foundation Server Release Manager Oracle PL-SQL (Procedure Language SQL) Azure
