Role: SQL Database Administrator

Description:

Perform activities related to the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL databases.
Handle installations, upgrades, backups, and configuration. Confer with appropriate managers regarding problems with and capabilities of Microsoft SQL databases.
May do limited amount of design and programming.
Career-Development position within field.
Requires moderate skill sets and developing proficiency within discipline.
Conducts tasks and assignments as directed. Works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment.
Typically requires four to five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Client Premises Training Center needs a SQL programmer to create and optimize database queries.
Skills needed are database administration, table design including normalization, backup and recovery a plus, understanding how databases work with legacy applications.
