Role: SDET Consultant (Product Development)
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 12+ Months
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the execution of systematic software test plans of major product components. Debugs software products through the use of tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for F5 products. Collaborates with peers under the direction of technical leads on assigned project teams. Requires little direct management to complete the majority of development tasks. Bug verification of features.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs system testing of new products, as well as new releases of existing products.
May be required to design tests in Python and other scripting languages (in-house mentoring/training available)
May be required to code low-complexity features for product (in-house mentoring/training available)
Collaborate with team members and technical leads.
May research, investigate and define new areas of test technologies or methodologies to enhance the testing of products.
Evaluates performance and modifies the design of product test automation.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and experience with test methodologies used in software development.
Knowledge of Test Frameworks, Test Automation, Test Reporting, and bug tracking tools
Knowledge in network configuration / topologies
C++ / C
GoLang is a plus
Python
Knowledge of task management and Agile methodologies is a plus
3+ years UNIX/Linux experience preferred.
3+ years test automation experience preferably in a software language that supports F5 product line.
Qualifications:
BS/BA in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
