Job Description :
Create and/or provide feedback on test plans, scenarios, test cases and scripts to ensure business, functional, and non-functional requirements are met
· Follow and improve test artifacts and best practices for QA. For example: test cases/plans are created, reviewed and approved by the team, and linked to requirements/Acceptance Criteria/Stories.
· Create effective defect reports in Jira and supports them through their lifecycle
· Evaluate and report on test execution results via dashboard on a regular cadence
· Provide status updates on test execution and defects and makes recommendations on release readiness during triage and go-no go meetings
· Provide guidance to other quality assurance analysts in the development and implementing test coverage in your area of expertise
· Interact with QA team and mentor junior team members
· Create and update knowledge base as needed
· Nightly calls with offshore teams as needed to coordinate and communicate project deliverables and priorities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence knowledge required
· 1 year experience in SAP BW on HANA is preferred
· Understanding of data flow as a whole as part of Data Warehouse environment
· Ability to read/interpret/write/execute efficient SQL queries including the use of Analytical functions required
· Experience testing SAP Business Objects Reports required
· 2+ years of experience testing SAP BW
· Experience testing Tableau reporting is preferred
· Experience testing ETL strongly preferred
· Knowledge of Retail business processes preferred
· Ability to provide accurate project/task effort estimates
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications
· Liaison with development, project management, and customer support for test and QA related functions
· Excellent understanding of Quality Assurance process and methodologies
· Experience with QA tools including bug/defect tracking systems; test management software
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills, communication(verbal and written) skills, and organizational and documentation skills
· Excellent leadership skills to develop credibility and influence outcomes.
· Ability to develop and maintain excellent proactive, working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company
· Must enjoy working on a team
· Ability to work independently and/or closely collaborate team members to achieve individual and team goals to complete assignments within established time frames
· Perform to complete tasks and objectives that are clearly defined and guided by leadership
· Should have worked on BEx Analyzer and Designer
· Hands on experience on Open Hub Destination and Analysis process designer
· Basic ABAP understanding and the ability to debug the ABAP code
· Should have worked on End to End SAP BW data flow. Involves extraction from ECC and building report using BEx designer
· Good understanding of different types of DSOs and their use in SAP BW
· Hands on experience on Multi providers
· Understanding of Extended star schema
Knowledge on various delta mechanisms in SAP BW extraction
