Job Description :
The Release Manager is responsible for managing all release activities end to end. This includes planning and coordinating amongst various organizational areas to ensure a proper release schedule. This person leads the effort of defining the strategic direction for release management tools and will assist in managing projects and inter-dependencies to ensure the integrity of the release.

What you will do:

· Work with various areas in the organization to plan the release items

· Actively participate in review sessions and facilitate communication to ensure process alignment

· Understand and have a good handle of all the features and contents of the package

· Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality

· Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews

· Ensure that the service operations teams have an appropriate handover and training

· Responsible for reporting the overall progress of the package

· Work with Change Management on rollout plans pertaining to migrations and configurations

· Coordinate system Demos and training as necessary

· Conduct Port-Mortems after each release and ensures continuous process improvement

· Work with Change Management to understand impacts of branches and code merges

· Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.

· Ensure delivery of appropriate support documentation and release notes

Technical Responsibilities:

· Knowledge of software development life cycle

· Knowledge of project management principles

· Knowledge and practical/daily experience of Jira

Your Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, information technology, business management, or related fields.

· Minimum five (5) years of related work experience in software product or software development

· Experience in Waterfall and/or Agile Development Methodology

· Experience working in high pace environment with emphasis on process improvements

· Previous experience in managing the packaging and delivery of software

· Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills

· Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
