Must Have Requirements:
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Ability to seek out edge cases in testing to understand the software from many perspectives
Experience with QA tools used to note bugs and issues faced during software development
Understanding of software environments from development to production
A solid understanding of mobile application development processes, from the layout/user interface to backend systems and API integrations.
A solid understanding and appreciation for Agile tools, processes, and methodology.
Essential Job Functions:
Represent Quality in product development teams/projects. Develops & executes test plans and requirements (safety, functionality, regulatory, usability) to ensure provisions for quality are addressed and resolved prior to release.
Coordinate with the development of essential design control deliverables including, but not limited to product performance analysis on similar products, essential requirements checklist, design verification, design validation, design reviews, phase reviews, and product release.
Work closely with Product Development to develop appropriate verifications, validations (software, process), and qualifications for both new design and changes to released product.
Review design inputs and design outputs to assure that appropriate design requirements are specified and to evaluate/confirm quality requirements prior to successful design transfer.
Review, approve and develop product verification plans and respective test methods.
Support validation efforts of approved testing to assure compliance.
Lead and/or participate in customer feedback reports, failure analysis of mobile app bugs, crash reports, and issues resulting in a stop ship/stop production or hotfix issue
Compile and share quality metrics to present to product team and leadership to trend, recommend, and implement corrective actions and appropriate follow-up, when necessary.
