Role: QA Engineer (Automation or Manual)
Location: Albany, New York
Duration: 2 year contract
Face to face interview is required
KeyResponsibilities· Functionalrequirements review to understand desired functionalities· Develop andmaintain software test plans, test cases, and scripts and scenarios inaccordance with current QA procedures and methodologies to accurately describetest scope and test schedules· Collaboratewith functional consultants, product owners, developers within the teams toensure understanding and compliance with requirement· Createdefects and records test validation results in test management tool· Ensure timelycompletion of all QA deliverables for all projects artefacts· Reportstimely and accurate status of all testing activities for assigned projects· Conductsintegration, system, smoke, and regression testing for one or more systems· Run front endand and backend testing as needed using sql queries· DesignAutomation testing framework and execute automation testingKnowledge andExpertise:· Minimum of 5years of progressively responsible experience creating, executing, and managingtesting· Strong workingknowledge of software testing best practices.· Experiencewith reviewing requirements and developing test cases based on thoserequirements.· Experiencedesigning flexible test systems to adapt to rapidly changing specifications.· Experience ofmanaging defect fixing during User Acceptance Testing· Experiencewith defect management tools (e.g., Team Foundation Server)· Experiencewith data validation ensuring successful data migration using tools e.g SCRIBE,SSIS· Performautomation testing using identified tools (Selinium)· Ability toperform data analysis, including querying standard databases using SQL.· Understandingof data modeling and database architecture.· Excellentwritten and oral communication, technical documentation, and interpersonalinteraction.
