Job Family Summary
Provides cost effective business systems and applications analysis in support of the development and implementation of business applications. Includes evaluation, analysis, documentation of requirements, translation into proper system requirement specifications and configuration. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both end-user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems, applications and industry requirements. Operates as a liaison between technical personnel and the appropriate end-user department. Evaluates and translates end user needs and problems to technical associates and/or vendors where appropriate. Understands the business implications of technical solutions, and assists in defining and documenting the technology solutions to support any future business needs. Teaches end users new technology and enhancements using all appropriate communication tools as well as providing support for existing system. The Business Systems Analyst will possess a unique blend of technical, business, and people skills, have the ability to effectively prioritize work assignments, work in a team environment and will possess excellent problem solving skills.

Principal Accountabilities
Defines overall application functional and business requirements with end-users and recommends application modifications, configurations and processes
Analyzes model test discrepancies to find trends and works with programmers to resolve
Establishes cost and time estimates for development or implementation of projects
Produces business process flow charts; creates communication plans (correspondence, presentations and other materials) for knowledge transfer to leadership
Participates in external product vendors’ steering committees
Creates and executes moderately complex test scripts, provides training to end users and responds to critical and routine production support requests
Creates medium to high complexity functional designs using a disciplined application implementation methodology and review designs written by junior analysts
Assists project managers in defining, documenting, and clarifying business requirements; evaluate and articulate technical requirements to address business requirements

Solid knowledge of system development methodology, project management, system architecture and analytical/problem solving skills
Extensive experience interpreting user needs and writing functional specifications for new systems, systems changes and/or system enhancements
Strong facilitation and communication skills
Ability to influence others to achieve results
Ability to manage change and engage team members
Strong knowledge in Agile Methodology
Comfortable working in a fast pace, overseeing many different tasks in parallel
Ability to self-manage multiple projects within tight timeframes and dynamic priorities

Strategic and tactical thinking

Education and Experience
Typically requires 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience
Financial Services experience - Commercial Originations and Lease Servicing a plus
Experience with using Team Foundation Server (TFS); or Jira a plus
Experience with lease servicing platform migration a plus
Experience with Infolease and/or LeaseWave a plus.
