Sr. Oracle DBA

Must Haves: Oracle, SQL Server, and Azure.
The DBA is likely to convert at the end of our agreed upon contract term (3-6 months)
This person must be able to commuicate clearly. Look at the requirements for a given task/project and provide a clear recommended solution that includes the list of the steps needed to complete and include a LOE/time to complete.
The team existing team that this DBA will be working with includes:
Existing DBA (primary Oracle resource and SME of existing on prem prod DBs)
Data Engineer (primary SQL/Azure/ETL resource)
Data Architect (primary data modler)
BI Architect (primary Tableau developer)
Above average SQL query writer. Our POS and DW are in Azure/SQL DBs. As we near pushing oru first DW version to production, the next business enablement will be migrating many data extracts/feeds/integrations to come dirctly from our production Azure DW/DB. Thus, complex SQL queries will be used to replace legacy/exsting data feeds.
Local candidates are strongly preferred but not a requirement. If applicants have relocation/sponsorship needs, please make sure this is cleary called out.
Role functions:
Oracle - 50% – supporting/optimizing existing on prem Oracle production databases
SQL - 25% - supporting/optimizing existing on prem SQL production databases
Azure – 25% - working on the new development of Denny’s new MS Azure cloud data warehouse (DW
Functional Requirements:
The ability to clearly communicate, both verbally an in a summarized “one pager”, the technical process/steps needed to accomplish a task/deliverable.
The ability to take the above “one pager” and provide an accurate level of effort (LOE) to complete the task(s
The ability to be flexible and pivot off a large tasks/projects to remedy immediate production issues.
The ability to solve and provide technical data/database solution recommendations.
The ability to work effectively on a data team and align on optimal technical solutions.
A tenured database admin who can professionally recommend and defend the optimal configurations/processes when others disagree “stand your ground”.
Technical Requirements:
5-10 years of Oracle database administration

Oracle Hyperion Essbase data marts/cubes
5-10 years of SQL database administration
