Position: Oracle DBA
Location: Merrimack, NH
Duration: 6+ months

Special Instruction: Client is looking for senior level 10+ year experience type candidates who have worked for large scale companies
Required: Latest versions of Oracle and install and support of GoldenGate is required.

Summary
The Database Administrator manages the design and development of IS databases and related master files. Additionally, they will coordinate contributions by Systems, Operations, and Technical Support to develop and improve databases and master files.

Responsibilities
Maintaining the availability of Oracle database version 12c, 11g in a production and non-production environments on Linux platforms.
Troubleshoot DB and SQL performance issues and help in tuning DB as well as SQL.
Installation of Oracle Real Application Custer (RAC) and upgrade database from Oracle 11g to 12.1 and 12.1 to 12.2, and also one platform to another.
Install and support GoldenGate setups.
Migration from physical databases to VMWare
Refresh full environment/schema’s from production database as required by application users.
Ensure compliance in related tasks with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
Deliver on-call support for critical database applications on a rotational basis.
Perform additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
Follow accurate hand-over process between on-shore and off-shore team.

Education and Experience
Degree required
7 years’ experience in a technical field (analysis, development, database administration, report development
Skills and Knowledge
Minimum 7 years of experience as Oracle DBA.
Experience as Oracle system as well as Application DBA support functions.
Excellent working knowledge of Oracle DB Performance & Tuning and SQL Tuning.
Excellent working knowledge of Oracle DB build, Oracle RAC installation, Oracle Patching, Oracle Upgrades, Oracle Migrations.
Expertise with Oracle GoldenGate setup, support and troubleshooting.
Expertise with Oracle DataGuard.
Experience working on OEM
Experience with Oracle RMAN
Experience working on crisis bridge, production oncall and supporting critical databases.
UNIX/Linux system management and scripting skills.
Good Interpersonal skills
