Job Title : Oracle DBA
Location : Houston, TX
Experience: 8+ years
Experience Required:
Oracle and PL/SQL knowledge is a must
In depth knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL DB Administration
AWS knowledge from database stand point is a must
AWS RDS, Dynamo DB etc. knowledge
Knowledge on overall database architecture
Experience in database setup and configuration to allow off premise applications connect to on premise databases (security, best practices etc
Expertise in SQL & Database Level performance tuning skills
Experience in Solaris, Linux and AIX OS including strong shell scripting skills
Roles & Responsibilities:
Architecting and designing AWS databases like RDS and Dynamo DB
Database configuration change planning to fit DevOps pipelines
Should be security conscious in all the system administration, development and tools configuration/management activities
Work on database release automations
Should track and document all tasks, resolution provided for issues and project/work status and provide to management
Setup databases to be fit to accept connections from AWS based applications
Generic Managerial Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Excellent analytical/ critical thinking and problem solving skills;
Good leadership skills, should be able to work/lead a small size team;
Good in work organization, delegation, follow up and change management
