We have an urgent requirement for Network Security Engineer with our direct client.
Position: Network Security Engineer
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Montgomery, Alabama
SCOPE OF WORK:
Plan, design, implement, audit, optimize and troubleshoot network security solutions and
products for a state of the art criminal justice information systems (CJIS) compliant network.
Provide reliable, available, scalable, and secure critical data and voice services to first
responder law enforcement officers, staff, and the public.
Provide subject matter expertise, consulting and knowledge transfer around specific
technologies, solutions and products.
Engineer and implement solutions on a wide variety of data network and data security
elements.
Provide on-site and remote support of network security, analysis and monitoring solutions,
services and products.
Build and maintain customer relationships and work efficiently with customer support team
to solve customer issues.
Lead internal and customer facing meetings both via telephone and/or in-person as
directed.

Experience Required:
A minimum of 3 – 5 years building and maintaining security monitoring systems.
Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems,
anti-virus software, end point protection, authentication systems, log management and
content filtering.
Knowledge of network protocols, data flows, and vulnerabilities within a TCP/IP
environment.
Experience with performing vulnerability scans and assessments as well as computer
forensics.
Familiarity with SOA governance and policy management best practices, information
security best practices and common processes.
Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally
with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with advance education
in fields related to position or equivalent experience.
IT certifications include but not limited to CCNP, f5-CA, ICSSP, Security+ and GIAC are
preferred.
