Overview
The Network Engineer position in the Information Security Department will take a supporting role in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco ACI Data Center, Cisco Wireless infrastructure, DNS, and enterprise load balancers. The position is on a team of experienced engineers and analysts and is a resource for both the network team as well as consulting to other technical or business teams to develop and deploy solutions to meet the strategic goals of the organization. This position provides a unique opportunity to directly support the world-changing mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its growing research computing infrastructure needs. This position reports to the Manager of Network and Telecommunications in Information Services.
Resources include a new state-of-the-art data center, a robust modern campus network infrastructure, and partnership with other technical, clinical and business teams within Information Services to effectively engage and support the St. Jude research community.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated capability to deliver a high standard of system performance and availability, 24 x 7 operational support, systems management and upgrades, security, and customer service. This professional requires experience with enterprise production operations environments, and use of industry best practices in technology and processes to ensure St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital systems are architected and supported to peak efficiency and availability.
Minimum Education
Bachelor''s Degree is required
Minimum Experience
Four (4) years of experience required
Enterprise experience in data communications and multi-vendor computer/network/telephony operating systems that includes experience in network design and implementation is required
Must have experience in/or demonstrated proficiency in project management, network support and design, and leadership skills
Other Credentials
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required
