Overview
The Managing Director, Technology Services in Information Services (IS) is the senior leader responsible for providing direction, oversight, and management of the institutional infrastructure for providing information technology architecture, services, and support. This individual is responsible for all activities and functions of the Technology Services group in IS, including enterprise architecture, core infrastructure services, technical engineering and administration, end-user computing, and primary operational support for technology investments across the enterprise. This position takes the lead role in developing a forward-thinking strategic vision and roadmap for information technology services, and through collaboration with other senior IS and institutional leaders, provides innovative and sustainable technical services and solutions in support of the St. Jude mission. Partners with departments and leaders across the institution to align and optimize enterprise technology capabilities with business services and requirements. Sets management priorities, oversees all formalized projects, develops strategic plans, and manages resources for the Technology Services group. Directs processes relating to operating and capital budget, strategic planning, and controls to monitor operational efficiency. Minimum Education
Bachelor''s degree is required, preferably in a computer science, MIS, administrative, financial or a related field
Master''s degree preferred
Minimum Experience
Ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in the design and support of information technology required.
Five (5) years of progressive information technology management experience required.
Experience managing information technology services in a large organization is required.
Experience supporting technology within a healthcare setting strongly preferred.
Experience supporting technology within a large, complex academic research setting strongly preferred
Other Credentials
ITIL foundation certification preferred
