Job Title: Lead IT Project Manager

Contract: 12+ month contract

Job Description:

The UCPath Center Lead IT Project Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, tracking organization, and coordination of technology project s which support business operations.

Reporting to the IT Shared Services Senior Manager Program Management, the Lead IT Project Manager will use established project management methodology and templates to manage projects of broad and diverse scope, size, impact and budget. This position requires at least one year experience as a lead project manager on an Enterprise Resource Planning project. Other IT projects will include IT service improvements, cloud/hosted deployments, and enhancements to core technology and applications used by the UCPath Center including PeopleSoft HCM, Salesforce Cloud, Interactive Intelligence communication as a service, IBM FileNet ECM, SharePoint and other technologies. Release Management Experience is a plus.

The responsibilities of the IT Project Manager include the following:

Manage and/or support technology projects throughout the project lifecycle (Initiate, Plan & Design, Execute, Monitor & Control, and CloseLead effort to streamline / operationalize release management activities, e.g., refine migration process (i.e., QA to Production), capacity planning, and resource planning. Operationalize PeopleSoft deployment – transition from project to operations.Develop project documents, such as charters, schedules, RACI, etc.Support meetings (develop agendas, capture meeting notes, etc.Organize and coordinate project activities, e.g., schedule workshops and meetings; follow up on tasks / action items.Monitor and control projects ensuring milestones are met according to project charter and schedule; manage triple constraints.Assist with test cases / test plans development.Assist with requirements elicitation /gathering and tracking.Maintain action items log, risks and issues log, and status updates.Conduct gap analysis (e.g., planned vs. actualDevelop / maintain project communication plans.Support project debriefing sessions (capture lessons learnedSupport project stakeholder engagement activities.5+ years of experience actively managing information technology projects through all phases of the project management lifecycle.Minimum of one year experience as a lead project manager on an Enterprise Resource Planning project.Experience developing Microsoft Project schedules to include dependencies and resource management.Experience developing project plans/ charters, schedules, communication plans, requirements, test plans, test scripts, and status reports.Skilled at monitoring / tracking project progress.Experienced with updating and managing actions, risks and issues logs.Experience with organizing and coordinating meetings and workshops.Experienced with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Visio and MS Office Suite.Experience using WebEx, Zoom or ReadyTalk to facilitating remote and on-site meetings. Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to share ideas both with the business and internal IT teams.Deep understanding of software development methodologies, such as agile.Ability to be flexible, agile, and work in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with vendors and multiple business and technical stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)Master Project Management certification.Experience as a release manager. Experience as a business analyst or business systems analyst.
