Job Description :
Position: Jr. DevOps Engineer/ Production Support Engineer/ System Engineer
Location: Glen Allen, VA -23060
Duration: ~ 24 months

It is completely nightshift (6pm to 6am) Sunday to Tuesday 1st shift & 2nd shift is Wednesday to Friday and every alternate Saturdays will be added, F2F for local candidates & Zoom / Video interview for non-local candidates

Effectively managing troubleshooting and recovery of complex production incidents, ranging from low to critical impacts –
Driving incident resolution through a systematic problem solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive –
Led and actively participate in teams Agile stories (project work) to streamline and enhance day to day operations of the team –
Create, manage and utilize appropriate technical procedural documentation (run books) –
Proactively monitoring all of the applications and infrastructure behind ,''s external and internal customer facing services including their availability, latency, performance, and capacity –
Influence resiliency and scalability in production environments in Amazon Web Services (AWS) –
Identifying opportunities and developing proactive automated monitoring and alerting solutions by utilizing available tools (Splunk, Data Dog etc –
Assist with conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on critical production outages, develop and implement mitigation strategies –
Utilizing production support expertise to Influence and support new designs, architectures, standards and methods maintaining stability and availability for large-scale distributed systems –
Proactively identifying and implementing opportunities for automation of routine maintenance tasks, data gathering and resolution of common issues –
Continuously seek to develop new skills and technical expertise, as well as proactively share knowledge with others

Basic Qualifications: -
Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or Military Experience –
At least 3 year of experience in working on and leading production support teams –
At least 3 year experience in 24/7 enterprise support, ITIL practices and principles –
At least 3 year of experience in supporting production systems and infrastructure on premises or in a cloud environment.

Nice to Have Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with one of the following: Linux, UNIX, Openstack administration Python, Ruby, Go, JavaScript development experience NoSQL platforms
– 3+ years of experience with any of the following: AWS, Azure or GCP cloud services configuration, administration and support, web/API services support and deployment experience
- 3+ years of experience with Splunk, ELK , DataDog monitoring / alerting or similar systems
- Experience having written code or using SQL to extract and customize queries for data extraction
