Insurance Domain experience – 4+ years preferred
Architecture experience – 8+ years preferred
Development experience – 8+ years preferred
OO Analysis and Design – 8+ years preferred
Java and related environments – 8+ years preferred
Java-related Development, Test and Profiling tools – 8+ years preferred
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in relevant field (Computer Science or MIS) or equivalent educational qualification
Strong experience in designing and developing enterprise applications using Java technologies
Technical team leadership experience
Knowledge of Open Source frameworks and tools: Jenkins, Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse, Mule, Maven, Drools and others
Hands-on experience with the following tools: JBoss Application Server, IBM WebSphere Application Server and others
In-depth knowledge of Java (J2SE and J2EE), XML (XSD, XSLT, XPath), HTML, CSS/JavaScript, SQL, and Web Services
Understanding of complex multi-user issues, concurrency and transaction management
Excellent knowledge of application servers (WebSphere, WildFly, Apache) including configuration, monitoring, and tuning
Excellent oral and written communication skills with both internal and external personnel – able to present designs, and facilitate design discussion
Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), development methodologies, development patterns, web-enabled applications and Inversion of Control
Pluses:
IBM i, SQL Server, and familiarity with Linux
Experience with Document management systems.
Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies (Mule experience preferred)
Proven ability to rapidly deliver prototypes and proof-of-concept work to validate a proposed architectural approach
