Finance and Accounting Techno Functional Analyst
Location: Irvine, CA
Reports To: Transition Finance and Accounting Lead

Job Purpose: to support the account team during the Blueprinting phase of transformation. Gather technical and functional “As Is” Order to Cash (Finance and Accounting) service support details by collaborating with incumbent or client subject area experts (SMSs

Position Summary: responsible for gathering all Finance and Accounting related technical and function documentation via current knowledge base(s) and technical and/or business work sessions. Using the client provided methodologies and templates to capture and report these findings along with any gaps and risks in a final report. This role will also report these finding to the client and stakeholders once completed.

Key Responsibilities;

Must have strong understanding on Finance domain.
Knowledge several Finance and Accounting reporting tools.
Knowledgeable on database migrations
Must have experience with ServiceNow, JIRA/Confluence
Salesforce experience with Salesforce is a plus
Should have excellent knowledge on BI Apps Financial Analytics.
Should have strong knowledge in data warehousing concepts and understand business models and design warehouse as per the requirement.
Able to pull data from different data sources to data warehouses.
Must have project requirements, build mappings and reports and migrate the code to higher environments experience
Must be able to interact with business on a regular basis for requirements gathering
Must be proactive and show ownership over the tasks assigned.
Must possess strong analytical communication skills and interact effectively with different stakeholders at different level and situations.
Should provide optimal and innovative solutions to the existing problems
Must be able to gather service area operation details while conducting face-to-face interviews
Will be required to present finding in a formal yellow pad/blueprinting reviews session
Required to gather and review service area process and procedures, operational performance metrics and reports as well as Gaps associated with the service area
Works closely with the IT Compliance Team to ensure SOX, and other quality standards, compliance.
Actively promotes process compliance through the creation, and as appropriate, delivery of process training, workshops etc.
Customize Work Intake if not already developed as part of the data gathering process
Ensures critical success factors & performance measures are defined for all new processes.
Works closely with relevant teams to create process dashboards and establishes appropriate review forums to ensure business reliance of the output.
Works with the process owners to validate processes & procedures are "fit for purpose" and "fit for use", providing recommendations for continuous service improvement as required.
Produces written reports detailing the results of process improvements.
Keeps up to date on the latest processes and technologies within IT Service Management and provide advice to management.
Tracks Risk and Issues related to the project
Works closely with the Delivery team on project tasks and Transition-in documentation
Data warehouse design knowledge
Excellent hand-on with the tools OBIEE, BI Publisher, Informatica and DAC.
Should have worked on Finance domain projects.
Experience in monitoring the DAC jobs.
Should understand the Finance domain and maintain / enhance the data warehouse as per the requirements.
Should be able to understand the business requirements, reports and dashboards
Understanding of monitoring scheduled jobs, troubleshoot in case of failures and support resolution
Should be able to understand the existing report or dashboard design and ask questions on Work Intake
ETL mapping knowledge


7-12 years of expertise in programming application software, computer programing, design methodology and systems investigation abilities within the area of the systems development life cycle management.
7-12 years of proven experience with Finance and Accounting environments
7-12 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting management.
Having programming knowledge and outstanding perception of multiple systems is needed.
Proven experience with Finance and Accounting data communication methods.
Working experience with Query, IFS, PDM, SQL, and other development tools.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Should know the basic accounting concepts
Excellent report writing and Gap analyst knowledge
Ability to learn new technologies if required like power BI.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Will work closely with the Senior Process Manager

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor''s Degree or equivalent
Strong track record of process improvement / process redesign and driving continuous culture change in an organization.
Excellent facilitation and lateral thinking skills, with the ability to manage simultaneous communication channels.
It is also essential that the role holder is already an experienced user of process improvement tools and methodologies.
Expert in MS Visio, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PPT

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Six Sigma or BPM certification is desirable, ITIL foundation certificate (provide with profile)
