Job Description :
Must have strong communication and the ability to figure something out on their own. Need to be able to do self-driven development, self-starter.
ERP Application – homegrown resource planning application. Enterprise-wide application.
Must have front end development skills – as well as strong .NET background. The application doesn’t use jQuery at all, but it would be a nice to have. This application is mostly Web Forms, and most of the code is on the server side. Need to know JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
Nice to have experience working on a large code base – this application is not designed with a bunch of components.
Must have over 5 years of true professional .NET experience. (sweet spot is anywhere between 5-9 years of experience or older
Must have SQL Server (nice to have 2016 – must know TSQL, SQL server 2012 at minimum)
This whole application is VB.NET, and it will remain in VB.NET for the foreseeable future. This person must have experience with Web Forms – nice to have understanding of ASPX, how to pass data between a code behind and on the front end.
Must have .NET Framework 4 – any version is fine – they are using 4.6.
Selling points:
There is some stuff that is cool in the application – the Lead doesn’t have to throw together a whole bunch of new forms, it’s just automated through the framework.
They are going to have a lot of work, the lead really likes the way that Agile is done – the team works well together, the team can voice objections and stop work that doesn’t make sense for the timeline.
The tech stack is just older, which might be a challenge.
