The successful candidate will join a dynamic project team developing and supporting a new system which utilizes state of the art technology. This position provides the opportunity for the individual to be involved in innovative system development efforts to manage our bulk commodities such as Ethanol, Crude, and Coal. There will also be opportunities to help improve distribution of our empty railcar fleet. The successful candidate will work closely with end-users. There are many opportunities for career growth and advancement. This position will require 24x7 support of a mission critical application on a rotating basis.

Education
4-yr college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
Responsibilities
Develop thorough requirements based on business needs
Develop high quality code based on detailed designs that meet requirements
Create comprehensive documentation, conduct thorough testing, and follow defined change control processes.
Provide support for a mission critical application
Effectively communicate with end-users, co-workers, managers, and other stakeholders
Demonstrate a high level of initiative and attention to detail during daily operations
Skills Required
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Object Oriented design and application development (C# .Net)
Minimum of 4 years of experience in application design and development using SQL and a relational database such as IBM DB2, Oracle or MS SQL Server
Experience working with WCF, WebAPI, SOAP and RESTFUL models
Familiarity with application build tools
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent customer support skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skills Preferred
Experience supporting mission critical applications
Familiarity with testing methodologies and strategies
Development experience on IBM AIX operating system
Experience using MQ Series messaging
Experience in enterprise applications monitoring
Master’s Degree from an accredited US University
