This is a non-junior role as the project requires a number of different expertise in the cloud infrastructure space and is a self starter with ability to communicate, troubleshoot, triage, and coordinate with multiple teams and ensure end to end resolution. They will need to be proactive and identify trends and analysis of reoccurring issues and recommend and execute solutions. This role will work closely with the Downstream America s Product group who owns the roadmap, features and development for the mobile app and various vendors and service centers. This is a new product coming out of Americas Product. Everything is new and we re looking for someone who isn t restrictive regarding their role. When things go wrong, it s hands on deck. The position may require to do things they re not hired for. We re looking for someone being open to take on more work. Soft skills, strong communicator, local and long term contractor. On call will be ramped up when product goes live but will eventually stabilize. Azure experience is important. Open to AWS but have azure experience but at least understand cloud environment. All our dev ops work is in azure. All dev ops work is in azure. This position will need working knowledge of knowing api calls. This will not be a mobile app developer. Ansible experience is also key. The tools and how we are maintaining our CICD. Using ADO cloud based shop. We use .Net code for writing the application. Person will need to know the code to troubleshoot and fix. Requirements 1 - 3+ years of Ansible experience. The applicant should have experience with running production systems in cloud environments via Ansible automation. 1 - 3+ years of Azure experience. The applicant should have experience with the Azure cloud provider to the extent that they know about Azure s PaaS offerings and the automation Azure provides to interact with those services. Bonus if they have experience with automating Azure environments via Azure s ARM Templates. Optional Experience with building, maintaining, and deploying anything to production with the C# language and .Net framework. Experience with CI/CD pipelines. ADO in particular. Experience with VSTS git repositories and VSTS build / release toolsets. Experience with Linux bash scripting and Microsoft PowerShell scripting. Dev Ops Support Engineer: This role will be responsible for owning the NorthStar Project Backend and Mobile App release management as well as being the first technical line of defense for any Production related issues that arise. Have cloud experience to debugging cloud based code and infrastructure problems across all environments and CI/CD pipeline. Provide Production support by triaging issues and route them to the appropriate teams to handle bug fixes. Responsibilities: Maintaining and executing the existing Sprint based release process Maintain and execute Microsoft App Center organization and the release based processes Responsible for App Store release process to the Google Play store and Apple App Store. Responsible for maintaining Production and non-Production environments for project and support. Coordinate with Chevron Customer Support specialists as the first line of technical support for end users. This entails investigating Production logs and determining root causes of issues. Being on-call for Production outages with the ability to diagnose root causes and coordinate with appropriate team for a fix. Coordinate with Chevron DevOps organization to ensure proper support and uptime for any Chevron owned dependencies. Requirements: Junior level development experience as an Application Backend or DevOps Engineer. Experience with contributing to or administering Cloud environments is essential. Azure experience highly preferred Experience with Ansible preferred Above par communication and organization skills. Technical writing experience preferred. Experience with mobile teams a plus, but not required. Have developer experience.
