Position – Engineering Program Manager 3
Location – RTP, NC and Sunnyvale CA
Position Type – 12 month contract

Responsibilities:
Plan, lead, and manage product or solution programs.
Take an active role in leading a cross functional teams spanning across companies, often including key development partners, focused on driving program execution from definition through successful release and transfer to operations.

Essential Functions:
Program manage a virtual program team of professionals from Engineering, Product Management, Product Marketing, Operations/Finance, Sales and Alliances, to drive all pertinent issues related to the full life cycle of a product and/or solution.
Provide input into planning and managing company resources to execute development project or project components from design phase through implementation.
Identify and communicate project scope and ensure program milestones and objectives are met.
Keep management and stakeholders informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.
Analyse problems and drive solutions involving multiple elements of program planning.
Ensure that projects adhere to the company processes, and initiate process improvements as needed.
Manage 3rd party contracts as required to successfully deliver the program, including management of scope, schedules, performance, financials (including outlooks), and IP protection.
Work with key beachhead account teams to align and manage customer expectations and early field trials of the solution.

Requirements:
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Ability to act as the key interface and partner with internal and external development teams span across companies
Ability to work collaboratively within a distributed and virtual team environment to meet aggressive goals, while responding to changing business and technical conditions.
Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Prioritize and address multiple projects concurrently.
Ability to develop long-range project plans and schedules to complete complex projects.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) or similar governance process.

Education & Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
A Bachelor Degree required; in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to have successfully delivered multiple, complex programs.
PMP is preferred, experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies an advantage.
Prior experience in solutions development in addition to hardware or software is a plus.
