Location : IRVING Texas & Ashburn VA.
Description:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
5-8 years of DBA experience in IMS DBA on z/OS Database Administration and Support
SKILLS
Thorough knowledge and experience of working on IMS on Mainframes. Different versions such as IMS 8 through 14.
Good knowledge of IMS Utilities such as Change Accum, Load, Unload, Recover, Image Copy etc.
IMS Recovery and IMS Start and Stop knowledge.
Creation of IMS Objects.
Experience in resizing tables, table design, HALDB and IMS Sysgen. Various IMS File Structures.
Experience with IMS High Performance Tools.
Demonstrate good understanding of Mainframe Application Architectures.
Knowledge in IMS Tuning is an added advantage.
Knowledge of IMS Connect, IMS DC.
Batch Job monitoring of IMS related jobs and fixing issues.
Fixing abends and batch job fixes.
Experience with the following considered a plus:
IMS Systems on z/OS
Basic knowledge of CICS and DB2
Role:
Participate in Technical Meetings with Team and Client.
Analyzing and troubleshooting complex business and technical issues
Ensure operational and system documentation is created and maintained
Participate in incident, problem and change management activities for MF IMS.
Participate in Knowledge Management activities with the objective of ensuring the highest levels of service offerings to clients in own technology domain within the guidelines, policies and norms
Experience in interfacing with Culturally Diverse team spread across time zones
