Brief Overview:
The Cyber Command Center Technician will play a critical role in the Hosting department. Specifically, the Cyber Command Center Technician will be responsible for monitoring American Well’s critical infrastructure from our Cyber Command Center (C3) and respond to alerts and escalations from our support staff. Our C3 is a state-of-the-art command center from which we monitor and maintain multiple web farms and cloud based information systems. The C3 Technician will be exposed to the latest Information Technologies, with support from senior engineers in our Application Support, Database Admin, Network and Security Engineering, VoIP and Kiosk Operations teams.
Core Responsibilities:
The C3 Technician will support 24/7 operations including daily technical routines, performing system monitoring and alert responding, trouble ticketing, joining cyber security operations, critical situation management, and incident response
The C3 technician will track and monitor utilization trends and perform tiered escalations as required, various other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
Experience in a Network or Security Operations Center
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a priority manner
Understanding of SNMP and log-based monitoring
Experience working with trouble ticketing systems
Familiarity with principles of Incident Response
Ability to learn quickly, follow procedures, and triage technical issues o 1-2 years of hands-on experience with technologies including but not limited to; Solarwinds, Security Software and endpoint protection, VMWare, F5, Linux administration, SQL queries, and Docker Containers are desirable

Position Details that MUST be reviewed with candidate:
Every single person is on a shift rotation and everyone rotates equally – no exceptions. There are no permanent shifts.
This is a 24x7 department on site at the Boston office.
Everyone works a 4x10 schedule – 4 days a week, 10 hours a day. – Monday thru Thursday or Thursday thru Sunday.
There are 3 shifts a day: 8am-6pm, 1pm-11pm, 11pm-9am.
Everyone rotates thru shifts and days equally – the team is on 2 week rotations. When team is fully staffed and no call outs for sickness and such – individuals should be working the same shift over the 4 days for that 2 week rotation, the next rotation the shift times can change – they do plan out for the team in advance.
This is a full time role – are paid hourly equivalent of 60k a year base salary – but here are additional details:
Any hours outside of 8am-6pm, there is an additional 15% shift differential on top of hourly base
If you actually work on site for a holiday – paid time & a half.
Can early annual bonus based on performance
