About the position:
The Department of Diagnostic Imaging at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a candidate for Diagnostic Imaging Systems Coordinator (DISC This is an outstanding opportunity to join a renowned team at St. Jude. The DISC would be a member of the Imaging Informatics team within the Department of Diagnostic Imaging (DI The position would be responsible for daily operations involving the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), department charges and billing components, Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) and the voice recognition software to include monitoring daily workflow and creating Structured Report templates for radiologists as needed. 

The ideal candidate would primarily focus their efforts on the electronic medical record, charges and billing, voice recognition and PACS. This includes electronic documentation of many different workflows within DI. Additionally, the DISC person will work with the Imaging Informatics team to: 1) Work with the EMR with specific interest to DI functionality, 2) Assist with the PACS to enhance efficiency in the workflow for clinical research imaging data, 3) assist in the optimization and testing of advanced software that interfaces with the many systems in DI to improve diagnostic information.

About the Department of Diagnostic Imaging:
The DI department houses dedicated imaging resources including multiple MR scanners, PET/CT, CT, X-ray, Interventional Procedures and Ultrasound imaging modalities. Additionally, the department provides a robust imaging informatics platform to include both clinical and research imaging.

Minimum Education

Graduate of an approved American Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology program OR Associate''s degree in a scientific or healthcare related field required
Training and experience as an end-user of radiology software is required
Bachelor''s degree in a scientific or healthcare related field preferred

Minimum Experience

Eight (8) years of diagnostic imaging experience that includes direct experience with radiology information systems required; four (4) years of experience are acceptable with a Bachelor''s degree
Experience designing and/or managing radiology information systems or picture archiving and communication systems preferred

Other Credentials

Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or certification from the Nuclear Medicine Certificate Board (NMCB) required.
