The NC Department of Health and Human Services is seeking Technical Application specialist to support NC Child Support Services (CSS) applications for application and software upgrade.
The NC Department of Health and Human Services is seeking Technical Application specialist to support NC Child Support Services (CSS) applications for application and software upgrade.
The Child Support Services (CSS) is a Statewide program which provides case management, financial management and enforcement to citizens of North Carolina. Child Support Program is supported by one large mainframe application (ACTS) and 3 web applications. ACTS (Automated Collection and Tracking System) is a large and complex mainframe (Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL, Telon) based statewide NC CSS (child support services) computer system. This resource would work on software upgrade, architecture management, project management and provide application programming as well as database administration, CICS, and Telon technical support.
This resource will work on COBOL upgrade to be ready for upcoming Z/os upgrade, as well as look at integrating Telon with Endevor for configuration management. ACTS uses Telon for development of online CICS/Cobol/DB2 application module.
This resource will lead the effort to make sure all CSS Applications (mainframe as well as web) continue to meet IRS requirements and also assist with regular IRS review needs.
Resource will also lead the CSS Web Team to design and upgrade their website to give it a modern look as well as make it mobile friendly using responsive design, allow citizens to be able to upload needed documents while applying for child support services online, be able to electronically sign their online application before submitting, and where possible update their demographic information in CSS systems using the web application without any need to contact their case worker. This resource will also provide back end support for all data access routines using stored procedures and provide project management. Application uses Java, WebSphere, on windows platform and mainframe DB2 as database.
The resource will also assist CSS Business and IT team in their effort of looking for new document generation solution for mainframe application ACTS.
