Duration: - 6+ Months Contract Position

Job Description:

Understand financial risks, regulations, regulatory guidance and other requirements. Monitor financial industry laws and regulations and provide risk expertise in supporting a diverse group of business leaders
Perform assessments of financial processes, documenting and assessing operational and compliance risks and escalating as necessary. Drive the design of controls which demonstrate sustainable compliance and ensure effective business processes
Consult with process owners on how to resolve issues and implement changes, supporting and prioritization, execution and control enhancement
Assist process owners to prepare for and execute audits and exams, consult on management responses, and monitor timeliness of remediation and closure
Understand and interpret tools such as swim lane process maps, critical-to-quality trees, performance metrics, control plans, RACI roles/responsibilities, and Risk and Control Self Assessments
Coordinate data and content for Sr. Management reporting, and support Executive and Board reporting
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business or military experience
At least 4 years of experience in Financial Services Risk Management
At least 3 year of regulatory experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related office tools
Preferred qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience in a field related to risk management (e.g., compliance, legal, audit, business risk office, operations risk management, credit risk management, or finance)
Knowledge of and experience with interpreting US Capital-related rules and guidance, and supporting implementation
Compliance or other Risk Management certifications (CRCM, RMA-CRC, etc
At least 2 year of experience with a Compliance Management Program (CMP) framework, specifically as it relates to governance, training, risk assessment, corrective action, decision making, monitoring, and reporting
At least 2 year process and/or control design and execution testing via quality assurance, audit, examination or related experience
At least 2 year of experience in process management, improvement, or design
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative abilities
Ability to work independently and be flexible to change in a fast-paced environment that requires the balancing of competing priorities
Knowledge of and experience with Credit Risk Management, Finance, Treasury and Regulatory Reporting
Knowledge of and experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance systems (GRC)
