Job Description:
SW Engineer / Bioinformatician with 10+ years of experience in Genomics Domain.
A candidate with strong SW development skills and industry experience (PhD - Optional)having extensive experience in transcriptomics data analysis and basic statistics is must. Candidate should have solid background in Bioinformatics / Computational biology and programming and hand on Python development.
As a member of the Bioinformatics / Computational biology team, work closely with cross-disciplinary teams that include software developers, scientists and product manager to understand and address the analytical needs of client requirements. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also expected.
Responsibility
Development of new software applications or customize existing applications to meet specific clients’ project needs. Also, develop novel ways to evaluate and combine outcomes across multiple lines of biological, clinical and statistical evidence. Hands on development skills on Python, experience working on operating system virtualization - dockers, containers
Develop novel Computational/Bioinformatics approaches and analytical tools/methods/pipeline
Testing of in house developed applications/solutions from domain perspective
Consult with team members and researchers to analyses problems, recommend solutions, or determine computational strategies
Communicate product/solution through presentations, white papers, and project reports
Develop project proposal
Understanding of software development cycle and/or product life cycle
Creation of Pipeline, creating scripts and software
Analyze large scale genomics, transcriptomics data.
