Job Title: Big Data Application Developer
Contract: Length: 3 Month Contract
Location: Austin, TX
Hourly Rate: Open (DOE)
All phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design and code development and testing
Designing and implementing product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
Designing reusable frameworks, libraries and Java components
Working very closely with Architecture group and driving technical solutions
Lead technology decisions, drive product implementation and delivery
Troubleshooting production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required
Demonstrate substantial depth of knowledge and experience in a specific area of Big Data and Java development
Required Skills:
Big Data Technologies (Spark, Scala, Elastic Search, Hive, SQL, MapR)
Database Technologies (SQL Server, AWS Redshift)
Strong SQL Skills with performance optimization experience
Object Oriented Programming Skills (Java/C# .Net/Python)
AWS Cloud skills
Agile/Scrum methodology
Unix
CI/CD skills
Nice to Have Skills:
MSTR/BI Tool Experience
REST API Development experience
Healthcare experience
8+ years software engineering
5+ years hands on expertise with Unix, Java/C#, SQL
