Manager Notes:
This position will work on the team supporting the Operations Technology applications, the largest of which is PI. PI is the data archive system and is used for data history and analytics reporting. It is the non-critical data system counterpart to SCADA. There will be other applications in the Op Tech application portfolio, but PI will be the biggest. Client is looking for a BA who can work effectively with field personnel, as well as the Ops Tech Infrastructure team who sit in Denver. Needs to be persistent to track down and effectively work with plant personnel, who aren’t always tied to computer. Will also be the go to person for the software vendor reps. Will need to coordinate efforts between vendors and business users.
Description:
The Senior Business Analyst will work directly with the business users from across multiple business departments, IT team members and external vendor consultants. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for resolving problems, delivering enhancements, gathering and documenting business requirements, and the coordination of users testing . The Senior Business Analyst will also be responsible for small projects and may be utilized as a resource on larger projects throughout the year. Project responsibilities will include documenting functional requirements, design, test scripts and developing solutions according to business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work Experience and Education Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical experience.
Advanced problem solving skills when working in a high pace environment where priorities change quickly.
Advanced knowledge and work experience throughout all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
Basic IT Infrastructure knowledge required for deployment and troubleshooting of an enterprise application (e.g. virtual machines, Citrix, active directory, etc.
Experienced coordinating code deployments for one or multiple problem fixes at the same time across multiple environments (non-production and production
Demonstrated Change Management experience working with systems that need to meet Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations in order to obtain their buy in for solutions/projects and ensure final acceptance of said solution/project.


Position Responsibilities:
Works directly with business owners to document and formalize detailed system requirements. Internally develops or works with third party vendors to develop and deploy support and project solutions (e.g. code, configurations, etc per business requirements.
Participates in production support, issue resolution and change control management activities.
Interprets existing IT controls environment and applies to existing and proposed processes to ensure compliance.
Coordinates and oversees periodic refreshes of non-production environments with production data and code.
Works after hours as needed.
Coordinates server patching and testing (e.g. Microsoft, Adobe, web browser, etc as part of overall security strategy.
Correctly prioritizes Support problems and resolves in a timely manner.
Maintains a positive and professional attitude when dealing with co-workers.
Ability to successfully communicate with all levels within an organization and facilitate understanding of processes and issues from a business perspective.
Effectively work to gain credibility from the business by: acting with integrity, promoting trust and respect within the project teams and continually managing change across the effected business unit.
