This position is for an Atlassian tools administrator. The successful candidate will maintain a full Atlassian stack, specifically Datacenter versions, consisting of Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket in a self-hosted environment. This position is responsible for keeping the applications and their respective databases healthy and up-to-date. The successful candidate will also be responsible for refreshing a development environment that mirrors the production environment, having its own application servers and database servers. While maintaining the application stack, the successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting user issues and working with Atlassian support if necessary.
Responsibilities include:
Install and upgrading the applications across multiple nodes with minimal downtime using automation tools and environment-specific configurations.
Work within the sql databases to troubleshoot and correct issues that are not able to be fixed within the UI.
Manage user access from external directories.
Procure and maintain application and plugin licenses within the corporate procurement process.
Edit and create complex Jira workflows and shared Jira component, i.e. field and issue schemes.
Troubleshoot user and jira-administrator issues, utilizing Atlassian support when necessary.
Keep a development environment in sync with, and sandboxed from, the production environment.
Use automation tools like Anisble, Puppet, and Jenkins to automate common tasks, writing scripts in bash and groovy to facilitate this.
Work with the linux servers that the applications and databases are installed on to update configurations and troubleshoot.
Troubleshoot and configure backend and frontend technology in the Atlassian stack, such as elasticsearch, keepalived, haproxy, and gluster.
