Senior Engineer – Embedded Software Design & Development
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Developing and integrating software for existing embedded systems
Reviewing customer requirements and specification and developing software and hardware solutions
Field Commissioning and Development of new Machine Applications
Maintaining, organizing, and building software libraries and solutions
Machine software architecture design
Electrical subsystem design
Existing machine and component electrical and software, mapping and dissection
Specification and application guide development and drafting
Design and promote new components and sub processes
Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas
Evaluate new products, processes, or systems
Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units
Perform product maintenance
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor''s degree in an accredited Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering
3 + years experience in Engineering
1 + years experience in Embedded Machine Systems
Ability to read and program SAE J1939 Embedded Networks
C++ Software Programming Knowledge
Top Candidates will also have:
Caterpillar machine or subsystem software development experience
Experience in with Software Development, Test, and Commissioning
Experience with embedded machine networking systems such as Flexray, Ethernet
Knowledge of Sensor and actuator signal processing
Familiarity control modules and their hardware abstraction layer processing
Mechanical aptitude, and the ability troubleshoot electrical and mechanical machine systems
Willingness to travel globally and work technically with different cultures
Experience with Machine or Component Software and Controls Design and Programming
Experience in with Electrical and Software Specification and Data Sheet Creation
Strong analytical skills
Emphasis on initiative and self-starting tasks.
