Title: Sr Business Analyst – Project Intake

This. Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for working closely with the teaming an agile and or waterfall development format while providing just in time requirements (in various formats), process flows and assisting in developing and delivering proof of concept demonstrations to key stakeholders. The candidate selected will be working directly with our Intake/OBTAIN team doing analysis on projects coming into the intake process through iFund. In addition, they will be a business analyst resource for the intake team on deliverables to our architecture review process as well.
Job Responsibilities:
Requirements engineering (business, stakeholder, functional, solution and transition level requirements)
Business process design and documentation (workflow modeling, BPMN experience a plus)
Analysis of existing processes (as-is modeling) and ability to bridge to-be state processes
Assess captured business requirements against enterprise platform capabilities (fit gap analysis)
Participation in the city’s Request for Proposal process
Rapid design and development of proof of concepts / prototypes
System and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and facilitation
Issue tracking & resolution coordination
Review Statements of Work
Work with our architecture team on deliverables to our Architecture Review process
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills:
Have an excellent professional attitude with strong interpersonal communication, facilitation and presentation skills
Be customer experience focused (customer empathizing)
Have knowledge of Statements of Work (preferred, not required)
Have knowledge of Intake processes and outcomes in some capacity (preferred, not required)
Be highly capable in conflict resolution and negotiation
Be able to articulate platform capabilities shape customer demand against platform offerings
Have strong and proven background in developing Business Analysis artifacts, such as process maps, and requirements documentation (business and technical levels)
Have experience in operating as a Business Analyst / Product Owner in an agile framework (such as Scrum) and also within more sequential project methodologies (i.e. waterfall)
Have 5+ years recent working experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst with a strong focus around upfront customer facing process analysis and requirements gathering against produced process analysis outputs
Have a CCBA or CBAP certification (preferred, not required)
