Q3 registers a 15 percent increase in tech jobs demand

Washington DC. November 15, 2010: The demand for Information Technology professionals is increasing as more US firms are hiring people with key skill sets to boost their business. 2010 third quarter shows 15 percent jump in Tech jobs posting for most of the skills compared to the same period in 2009. The months of August and September this year saw the biggest demand for technology professionals compared to the last few quarters.

"There is a steady demand for quality and technically skilled people in the US IT industry as companies invest in new solutions," said Prabakaran Murugaiah, Founder and CEO of Corp-Corp.com [Now TechFetch.com]. "Every month, companies are hiring more IT professionals".

California, where most large US technology firms such as Google, Hewlett Packard and Facebook are located, was the top state to hire IT experts. The US East Coast followed West Coast companies in hiring skilled technology people in Q3.

The top 10 American states for technology jobs are California (CA), New Jersey (NJ), New York (NY), Texas (TX), Illinois (IL), Pennsylvania (PA), Virginia (VA), Georgia (GA), Massachusetts (MA), and Florida (FL).

An analysis of all jobs that were opened during this period showed a sharp increase in skills that require business analysts and experts in Data Warehousing, Java, J2EE, Oracle Apps, SAP and mobile application. The key development in Q3 was the demand for cloud computing professionals for segments such as Salesforce and mobile application, a segment that witnessed little jobs last year.
