Job Description :
Working closely with the business analyst team, the Access VBA programmer will perform maintenance on an Access .adp data file connected to a SQL Server 2008 backend and compiled into an .ade file. The duties of this position will be:
· Modifying Access forms and VBA code based on specifications
· Troubleshoot errors in Access code
· Provide guidance on potentially updating the database file format
· Modify Access Reports and SQL queries
· Troubleshooting compilation errors

Additional Details- Client wants someone who understands that the Legacy technology is quite old, this is a project running on Access 2010 running in their SQL server, as such the project compiles on ADP. The 2016 doesn’t have that format so please be sure you’re dealing candidates who know the old system. In addition the right candidate should also be not only tech capable, but also be able to write SQL, has an true understanding of the way reports work, but also has thoughts on the ADP/old system and have input as to how they can get “more life out of it”.
