Database Administrator (DB2)
Location: - Chicago, IL 60661
Duration: - 60+ months
Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
DBA experience including documentation, design, testing, implementation, and maintenance with Java, .Net and SQL based systems
Expert experience in DB2 V8 (and above) and MVS-zOS environment including creating the physical data model
Detailed knowledge of logical and physical DB design, performance monitoring and tuning, definition of alert thresholds
Experience with stored procedures (COBOL and NATIVE), triggers and UDFs, RMF and use of SMF data
Strong experience with DB2 Utilities, SPUFI, QMF, OSC, BMC-DB2Mon, and PowerDesigner
Experience with SQL performance tuning, optimizing by tuning queries, indexes, and configuring database parameters
Disaster recovery, as well as, backup and recovery experience
Data mining experience
Provide on-call rotational 24/7 Incident Response to database alerts from production monitoring tools and Command Center personnel
