Title: Big Data QA Lead
Location: Bloomfield, CT
Duration: 12+ Months
Description:
Minimum 8+ years professional software testing experience and at least 5 years within Big data testing.
Experience with most of the following technologies (Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark (including pyspark), Spark streaming, Kafka, Hive, Avro, Podium, Python, MapReduce, SQL, Impala, Oracle Relational & XML Database, Java, Spring, RESTful services
Hands on experience working with data migration projects and writing and executing complex SQL queries.
Experience on Functional testing to include, System, Regression, Integration, BAT, and UAT.
Experience in preparing documents like test cases, test scenarios and project plan.
Exposure in defining test estimations and creating test plan and test summary reports.
Experience in Data Analysis, Data Migration, Data Validation, Data Cleansing, Data Verification and identifying Data Mismatch.
Experience with industry standard version control tools (Git, GitHub, Subversion)
Understanding of data modeling techniques using relational and non-relational techniques.
Knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and QA Methodologies like Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Iterative process
Coordination between Onsite and Offshore.
Dataset up (creating new data or getting mocked up data from Production
Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to multi-task on multiple projects
Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with Defect Management tools (ALM
Experience on Debugging the Code issues and then publishing the highlighted differences to the development team/Architects.
Good knowledge on Data ware house concepts and ETL concepts.
Basic knowledge on scheduling tools.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Agile and SDLC experience – at least 2+ years
Forward thinking, independent, creative, self-sufficient and go-getter; who can work with less documentation, has exposure testing complex multi-tiered integrated applications.
