Position : Marketing Database Analyst

Duration : 6 months

Location : New York

Contract : W2 or C2C

Domain : Fashion and Retail

Under managerial direction, the Marketing Database Analyst will work on the Customer Intelligence team. This is a hands-on role that will be responsible for requirements-gathering, documentation, and supportof the marketing database environment within the Customer Intelligence Platform. Candidate will manage multiple tasks and development efforts simultaneously, be a self-starter, and take ideas through to implementation.


Manage Enhancements to Database Environment
Lead business-driven requirements gathering and work with IT teams to develop solutions
Create detailed functional specifications, use cases, and acceptance criteria for database enhancements
Outline risks and project dependencies where applicable
Communicate development objectives, requirements, impacts of design decisions, and status of projects to internal stakeholders
Execute sprint planning and prioritize according to organizational goals
Coordinate and participate in QA when required
Meet with user community, drive requirements-gathering meetings, and coordinate dataintegrationwith external sources
Manage migration scheduling with external vendors

Monitor and Support Day-to-Day Database Maintenance
Work with application partners to maintain the marketing database
Oversee QA needed for customer data integration activities
Communicate production outages and work with IT partners to resolve
Recognize production risks and escalate diplomatically when required

Support the retirement of a legacymarketing database to a new platform
Partner with the Data Management team to align ondata management best practices
Collaborate with the Customer Intelligence Project Manager to execute on the Customer Intelligence Platform roadmap
Excellent analytical, solution engineering, and communication skills


Bachelor''s degree in MIS, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
3-5+ years’ experience in SQL Server or other RDBMS
3-5+ years’ experience as a business analyst
3-5+ years’ experience in data analysis and validation
Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation of both functional and technical aspects
Proficiency in SQL
Experience with enterprise reporting tools (e.g. MicroStrategy, Tableau) a plus
Experience with Retail and Ecommerce a plus
Experience in master data management concepts preferred
Ability to work independently and function as an integral part of the team
