*Position * Sr. Technical Analyst

*Job Description*

Description of specific Duties in a typical workday for this position:
* Monitors all interfaces of the production systems including
monitoring and tracking of incoming and outgoing files of mainframe
and LAN systems

* Monitors system availability and uptime, as well as other key
operational processes related to security, timeliness, accuracy,
completeness, and consistency.
* Troubleshoots and helps in resolving operational issues with
inbound/outbound files

* Utilizes scheduling software tools to ensure appropriate and timely
submission and processing of required workload in a cross-platform
environment on mainframe and Windows

* Provides analysis of batch requirements, creation and implementation
of batch jobs, calendar maintenance, trend analysis for batch
improvements, troubleshooting and problem resolution, etc.

* Effectively works with configuration management, development, and
quality assurance teams providing required technical support and
guidance all through the software engineering life cycle

* Ensures the production environment is fully secure 24/7 through
regular audit of the access privileges provided to staff playing
various roles.

* Attends Stage Exit Review meetings, Change Control Board (CCB)
meetings, Pre-production Deployment meeting and Management Status
meetings as required and appropriate.

* Strictly adheres to and fully complies with mandated processes,
procedures laid down by the project team and the Government.
* Ensures that no unauthorized changes in any form are made to the
production environment.

* Supports the development team in making deployment documents and
production packages.
* Leads and contributes in project planning, documentation, project
schedules, production access controls, staffing, training related to
production system control.

* Plans, documents, schedules and executes preventive maintenance
after proper approvals.
* Conducts and documents root-cause analysis on all production issues
and outages with recommendation on measures for effective prevention.

* Makes and maintains production control documentation and standard
operation procedures.

* Maintains production control event logs, access logs, audit trails
and produces the same for security and other audits helping in
detecting security violations, performance problems, and flaws in
systems and applications

* Implements and complies with configuration management and quality
assurance processes and procedures.

* Investigates and resolve basic software/hardware matters of
significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, servers
and applications to meet business needs.

* Performs basic troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system
problems to ensure continuous functioning.
* Works as the custodian for all backed-up software, data files, and

* Observe & report on various reporting systems to maintain enterprise
* Perform weekly & monthly statistical reports for government client.

Position Requirements:

* 10+ years of hands-on experience working in the area of production
systems control of large scale complex mainframe and distributed
systems environment.
* 5+ years of automated job scheduling analyst and error resolution
experience in a multi-platform environment.

* Advance knowledge and experience with z/OS and Windows operating
* Experience in the analysis of batch job requirements, creation and
implementation of batch jobs, job scheduling and monitoring, batch
job and schedule improvements, and troubleshooting

* Well-developed problem resolution and analytical skills
* Flexible to work non-prime time shifts such as nights, weekends,
holidays and other unique work schedules as required.

* Evaluate and review production output to provide management with
daily analysis and reporting of production status
* System software commands for ongoing monitoring and detailed problem

* Software Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) and CMMI experience
* Self-starter, ability to multi-task
* Detail oriented and highly organized

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Bachelor s degree in a technical or related discipline, or direct
experience with NFIP
* Highly collaborative with ability to work with extended teams
* Excellent customer service mindset

* US Citizenship required.

Preferred but not required skills:

* Working Experience in Government projects
* 3+ years National Flood Insurance Knowledge
* Working experience with SCM tools such as CA Panvalet, CA Endevor,
Rational Suite

* Experience working in a cloud and PaaS environment
* Advanced level Outlook, Word and Excel proficiency
* Assist and train team members on toolset

This is a full time position paying a base salary, full benefits, and
