Job Description :
This position will be located in Rockville, MD and qualified candidate must have or can attain a Public Trust clearance.

Key duties and responsibilities include:
Responsible for the planning and engineering of the Data Exchange infrastructure
Responsible for software design and development
Work closely with Agile development teams to ensure development needs are being met
Collaborate with other developers to produce working software that delivers business value and follows established design patterns
Develop, modify, test, and debug application programs of varying degree of complexity
Perform quality control, trouble shooting, code review and standard data validation practices prior to production release.
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
Maintain formalized best practices and standards and ensure their enforcement
SME for development projects involving enhancements to existing processes
Identify Risk areas for development projects on behalf of our business partners.
Support hardware provisioning and maintenance
Monitors system performance

Basic Qualifications:
Proven experience with large-scale software development projects
Hands-on experience in full software lifecycle development with Java/J2EE, XML with Soap or REST Web Services and Unix/Solaris experience
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Agile practices
Experience working directly with customers to discuss their requirements and objectives
Ability to prioritize, status, and multitask

Desired Qualifications:
Proven Experience with National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)
FDA experience and domain knowledge


Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience
