Summary of position:
The role of IT Solutions Analyst – SAP Finance, is a liaison between IT and the respective business functions. This position will have significant knowledge in subject matters pertaining to IT and the different activities within Finance, which include General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets (FA) and Job Costing (JC The IT Solution Analyst is responsible for understanding the business processes, improvement opportunities, integration requirements, and assisting in the prioritization of initiatives as well as designing solutions leveraging SAP capabilities. The role recommends and deploys solutions that enable critical business capabilities. Key components of the role include partnering with functional leaders, exploring SAP functions and related technologies to drive business efficiencies, and managing external resources to deliver desired solutions and services.

Essential functions/responsibilities:
Develop and drive SAP solutions and related technologies to align with a high impact financial excellence agenda supporting Financial Shared Services, Controllership, and Financial Reporting organizations globally.
Maintain breadth and depth of SAP Finance capabilities to develop a thorough understanding and detailed knowledge of key features and designs that are relevant to clients’s business needs.
Understand and anticipate the direction of the business areas, identify opportunities and make recommendations to support the desired future state business outcomes.
Collaborates with business stakeholders, vendors, industry consultants and senior business management to define information needs, develop business cases and priorities, sustain service levels, and proactively managing business demands.
Maintain solid understanding of IT change controls, both SAP operational performance and progress of ongoing development.
Work with internal and/or external stakeholders as a solution consultant to align SAP solutions and related technologies with business initiatives.
Project leader/manager, coordinating and managing the work of both internal and external IT resources as required.
Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impacts on SAP Finance capabilities pertaining to end-user experiences and services, business processes and system priorities.
Evaluate new releases and/or support packs relevant to SAP Finance functions and determine applicability to clients’s operating model and business needs for adoption
Manage incident tickets for new enhancements, projects and ongoing support; facilitate and coordinate testing to ensure change integrity to the production environment

Department specific/non-essential functions:
Participate in staff meetings and team meetings as required.
Develop understanding of general industry usage of SAP and its related offerings.
Develop basic understanding of business processes and business dependencies pertaining to client’s overall business model.
Develop relationships within IT and with supported customers to improve collaboration and teamwork necessary to accomplish organizational objectives.

Minimum requirements:
Education: Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Finance, or related business field.

Experience: 10 years Information Systems Experience within and outside of IT, with 5+ years in SAP financial modules deployment and maintenance roles.
Prior experience working in the finance function or reporting into the finance function preferred.
5+ years supporting finance in a public company with an understanding of SOX compliance.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

Master degree in IT or related business field (business management, information systems, etc.
7+ years of IT and business experience in the areas of global Financial Shared Services and Reporting.

Skills/Competencies:
SAP domain knowledge and related technologies:
FI configurations and functions - General Ledger, Accounts Receivable & Collections, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Tax Systems
CO configurations and functions - Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing (Product Cost Planning, Cost Object Controlling and Actual Costing) and Profitability Analysis.
Integration of FICO with SD, MM and other SAP modules
Knowledge required in designing complex RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflows)
Understanding of how SAP is transforming to S/4 HANA and how it differentiates from prior versions
Knowledge on Procure-to-Pay solutions that integrate with SAP
Requirements Development & Management – ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to size up business requirements from inception to production deployment, including business case development, solution assessment, design architect and configurations execution.
Business Acumen & Engagement – understanding of domain terminologies and regulations governing financial operations and compliance.
Communication Skills - Solid communication skills, both written and oral, with very strong customer service orientation and win-win negotiation skills.
Building Relationships - ability to build both formal and informal professional networks; solicits advice, support, sponsorship and commitment that result in smooth transitions of change and the development of mutually acceptable solutions.
Technology & Innovation – deep experience with SAP finance, processes, and related solutions; solid understanding of financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc; and working knowledge of shared-services and outsourced operating models
