Position Description:

Fords Global Data, Insights and Analytic (GDI&A) Team is a new and rapidly expanding group within Ford Motor Company.
The GDI&A Data Operations is responsible for the discovery and curation of new and existing data sources (First party data, external data providers, public data, social media, digital exhaust, transactional data etc for use in building incremental value and insight for the business.
The Data Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the global research, documentation, testing and acquisition of external data assets, aligned to internal customer needs.
This position is responsible for the evaluation and profiling of external data sources

Skills Required:

Responsible for documenting internal processes
Catalog vendors, offerings and point of contact information
Collaborate with other GDI&A skill teams to develop Communication Best Practices
Act as a liaison between the Third Party Acquisition Team and all enterprise units including Business units and Skill Teams
Maintain the acquisition pipeline to drive data acquisition and close deals
Provide enhancements to the external data & vendor knowledge system
Manage the Team Website and Wiki Library
Establish relationships with vendors and internal customers
Work cross-functionally to manage data and analytic projects
Improve department results through innovation
Evaluation of data accuracy, completeness, timeliness and stability and establishing repeatable, sustainable processes to maintain data
Develop business controls to comply with legal and regulatory requirements and corporate policies Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Preferred:

Collaborative and creative
Knowledge of CPARS would be an added advantage
Some knowledge of SQL preferred, Adobe Designer and Sharepoint Designer a plus

Experience Required:

Basic knowledge of Ford purchasing process
Experience with using Qlikview, Alteryx, Sharepoint
Demonstrated public speaking and presentation skills
Flexible/adaptable in fast-changing situations
Team orientation

Education Required:
Bachelors degree from accredited university
