Project Office Track Lead
Location: Spring, TX
Duration: Long Term

The Enabling Services work of the Enterprise Project Management Office focuses on the deliverables for EMIT Projects. This includes Project Tracking & Controls, Information Management, Economic Calculations, Cost Estimating and Schedule Development.

Roles within the team will vary based on demand and the individual’s skill set. Each IT professional will be trained on a subset of skill (e.g., project tracking & controls) and performs that work for the projects and sometimes the overall portfolio within their area. Over time, the IT professional will gain expertise and skills in all project management areas.

Change the way of delivering PMO by looking at continuously improved services
Gain expertise and be recognized for that expertise in one or more project disciplines
Develop influence and coordination skills supporting diverse projects across a global organization
Leverage core leadership behaviors in working with the Projects community as well as EMIT Business/Service organization (various positions/levels), Controllers, Procurement and Planning.
Extend breadth of project management skills and business experience by exposure to the Projects Leadership and business communities
Train/Mentor others

Collect, monitor and consolidate project progress, cost and schedule performance
Maintains project expense (vendor / EMIT / Business), outlook and commitment
Works with Project Manager to establish and maintain project schedules
Identifies areas of deviation from plan to project management for review and corrective action, as needed
Prepares monthly dashboards for management, and other management-level summaries for reporting and reviews.
Prepares Project Monthly Status Report
Coordinates preparation of the Budget Information Summary (BIS) for project funding
Develops and implement cost effective financial systems which properly record financial transactions, produce effective management reports and provides internal control
Ensure budgets and authorizations for expenditures are properly approved before financial obligations are incurred
Provides internal financial control support for contracting, cost reporting, and audits
