ETL SSIS Developer,

Westchester County, NY

Description:

Be responsible for designing, developing, testing and troubleshooting SSIS packages that implement complex ETL processes.
Understand and analyze requirements and develop, deploy and configure SSIS packages
Use SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012 experience to implement robust, maintainable solutions that meet requirements
Ability to effectively direct the work of others and lead a team.
Demonstrated ability to interpret technical material.
Takes ownership of problems and develops sound solutions.
Demonstrates sound analytical and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are not readily defined and/or conflict with available information. Has the ability to reach sound decisions quickly.
Able to fully research business situation, identify areas of concern and present solution.
Has a solid working knowledge of capabilities and direction of technology, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the technology required and the needs of the business environment necessary to support assigned projects.
Skilled at identifying flat areas and providing feedback to employees for performance improvement.

Required Skills:

Expert programming knowledge and skills with 5-7 Years of SSIS development experience in developing ETL applications
Demonstrated skill and ability in the development of data warehouse applications (SQL Server)
Data warehouse development experience using SSIS/SQL best practices including the development of reconciliation and validation frameworks
Working knowledge of Kimball design methodology
Experience in SQL Server 2005/2008/2012database design and development best practices
Demonstrated skill and ability in interfacing programmatically with a variety of enterprise systems
Advanced experience in reviewing and trouble-shooting complex issues and designs
Experience with development in other aspects of the Microsoft BI Stack – SSAS/SSRS a plus
Analytical, Problem Solving, creative thinking and design skills
Identify issues and quickly recommend/implement solutions
Success working in both a team based environment with good interpersonal skills as well as independently
Clearly demonstrated sense of urgency and bias for action.
Ability to work well under pressure and independently.
Ability to forge strong working relationships at senior levels.
Ability to effectively negotiate with other teams to create a mutually beneficial solution
