Position: DevOps Engineer - Puppet!
Location: REMOTE, Chandler, AZ or Charlotte, NC
Duration: 12 month Contract
Type: W2 Only


This is a great opportunity to join a Distributed Systems Engineering team whose charter is to build and operate a private cloud for The Company. The devops engineer will be part of the team responsible for the development, build, release, and overall configuration management for the Wells Fargo enterprise private cloud. He/she will develop Puppet modules, and Python scripts to ensure stability and compliance of the cloud operating platform. This person will apply sound release and configuration management principles while working closely with application development, project management, and operations. He/she must have experience developing and managing complex IT infrastructure for mission critical, large scale Linux and Windows based systems with some experience using Puppet and Python.

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of experience in systems engineering and configuration management
5+ years of experience in development and automation
5+ years of experience with version control systems
3+ years of experience in unit testing, test-driven development and standard software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices
Experience developing with Puppet
Experience developing with Python
Experience developing service-oriented architectures and web services with REST APIs, JSON or YAML
Excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively with others inside and outside departmental boundaries, at remote locations, and/or outside the company
Understanding of Cloud concepts and APIs
